vacation sex

How’s that for a headline? I came across it the other day and thought I’d send it out to you all because travel and sex go together like apple pie and cheese. And heads-up, people, I’m not talking traveling FOR sex, but having sex with the one you ARE traveling with, preferably your husband or wife. When vacation time rolls around, like right this minute, and we’re all busy thinking Hawaii, Mexico, Europe. We’re stressed about getting the house in order, the kids packed, the dog sent off. Don’t You Want to See Cuba Before It’s Too Late?

old havana

With all this talk of Cuba lately, Fidel’s brother’s incredible reforms, his stepping down, I want to see it before the gates really open and the kernel of old, closed Cuba is gone forever. I am a sucker for the story of Castro and Che. Motorcycle Diaries was one of my all-time favorites. And now you can travel to Cuba without too much hassle. Alcohol was already unavailable on domestic economy-class flights. Critics believe that this is further proof of an increasingly Islamic crackdown on this once very Western country. The latest ban was justified by officials on non-religious grounds. They said it was due to that alcohol service in business-class flights was being eliminated because of “low demand and logistical reasons.” Of 36 domestic flights, 16 offer business-class service. The destinations of … More…

Don’t Tell Anyone About Trancoso

see, that's what I'm talking about

People in the know, know about Trancoso. This is a beach town that is the ultimate combo of laid-back and chic, small-town and big city. But don’t you forget it, here it’s all about the beach. Shops don’t open until 3pm because everyone’s at the beach. Trancoso is a fishing village on Brazil’s Bahia coast, founded by Jesuits in 1586 as São João Batista dos Índios. Its tiny 16th-century church, is one of the oldest in Brazil. It’s super cute too. It was basically undiscovered until the Seventies when a … More…
